About
Ainis (they/them, b.1995) is a Finnish fine artist and social scientist living in London, UK. They are currently studying fine arts at Central Saint Martins.
Their past studies in social sciences at the University of Bath specialised in the ethics and social issues of artificial intelligence and technology. They merge their social research into their art practice, constantly expanding its mediums.
They explore and research themes within identity and social issues, including cultural history through queer and trans perspectives, trauma of childhood sexual violence and mental health. Currently, their work investigates queer escapism within rural Finland.
