Ainis Niklas-Salminen (they/them, b.1995) is a Finnish fine artist and social scientist living in London, UK. They explore and research themes within identity and social issues, merging social research into visual, sound, and written work. Their art practice examines the cultural history of rural Finland through Queer and Trans perspectives, identity building after childhood sexual trauma, and the fallacy of the ‘perfect victim’.
